Our Custom-Made shade sails can become any shape you desire to cover your space and can be easily installed and removed for cleaning.
TensoShade™ Sails can be manufactured with Premium grade shade cloth or sunbrella® fabric, either one comes with webbing reinforced corners, turnbuckles for each corner, and stainless steel corner rings, reinforced with UV resistance thread and a double row of locking stitch (not a chain stitch used by our competitors). Hardware is load rated and is intended for tension loads.

Sunbrella® Fabric is 100% water proof - Premium 95 shade cloth is NOT 100% water proof.

Lightweight Shade Sails

Lightweight TensoShade Sails are less expensive than our reinforced shade sails. However, they are still made from the same Fabrics: Premium grade shade cloth or Sunbrella® and UV treated awning thread. our Lightweight Sails are designed with a slight inward curve towards the center around the entire perimeter called a cantenary curve. This curve allows for tension control.
Under normal conditions, they will last a very long time.
These shade sails are guaranteed not to fade, rot, sag or mildew for 10 years.

Reinforced Shade Sails

From corner to corner, you will notice the carefully stitched cable pockets and highly reinforced corners on each end.
TensoShade also includes, forged clips and and aircraft tow rated cable as part of your hardware package.
This cable, which goes into the sewn pocked along the sail's perimeter, ultimately provides your shade sail's strength and stability.
Reinforced shade sails are usually shipped without the cable installed unless other arrangements are made. Most of our Reinforced TensoShade sails comes with 1/4 or 3/16 inch aircraft tow rated cable, that will not bend well during shipping. (cable sizing depends on the sail size). Most competitors will include your cable sewn into the sail already. However, this cable is very thin and not as strong as the cable that we include. Should you prefer your cable to come already installed to your shade sails please let us know before shipping.
You should tension each corner by stretching the cable. Each corner should be tensioned with proper tools, a typical "come along cable winch" will do the job well so that shade sail is taut and does not sag or flap.
